Great Wave 08~NEW - ~The inspiration behind this design is the great Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai. His iconic woodblock print, The Great Wave off Kanagawa, becoming the waves from which this giant robot, another Japanese icon, emerges. The text in the green block, is written in a font designed by Charles Rennie Macintosh, who was inspired, like many of his contemporaries, by Japanese art that was first imported in to Europe in the late 19th century. This influence of the arts from Japan on those of the West, became known as Japonisme.

Archive T Intro Text~Terratag 'Design a Robot T' COMPETITION
Back from the depths of the Robot Archives - Shiva is reborn. Originally released in 2003 this version will be hand printed in soft feel, waterbased ink. This release heralds the start of the Terratag 'Design a Robot T' competition.
Entry is simple:
You design a robot to be printed on a T-shirt. It can be any style of robot - let you imagination run riot. Designs must be no larger than 35 cm wide by 45 cm high and use no more than 4 colours.
All entries must be submitted by August 1st - email jpeg files (no larger than 1 Mb) to paul@terratag.com. All artwork will be exhibited in a gallery on the Terratag website for two weeks, until August 15th.
The viewing public will ask to cast a vote on their favourite designs and the winner announced on August 15th.
The winning design will be printed as a limited edition T-shirt. The prize being £250 and 10 T-shirts printed with their winning design.
